  • GLP-1s are groundbreaking medications that have shown remarkable results in clinical studies. GLP-1 medications help regulate and improve the body’s weight loss factors - such as blood sugar response and insulin. By changing these factors, the gut will send signals to the brain to improve metabolic function and regulate digestion and appetite, helping patients feel fuller, longer. In studies, patients lost, on average, 15% of their body weight* with GLP-1s.

  • Research shows that GLP-1 medication combined with lifestyle intervention is the most effective weight approach to sustained weight loss. Unlike other programs, our provider will never prescribe dangerous stimulants like phentermine or Contrave. That's because GLP-1s are the safest and most effective for sustained weight loss.

  • Many GLP-1s are taken via an injection. While an injection may sound scary, most members actually report injections being painless, quick, and easy. (It’s just under the skin—going into your fat instead of your muscle. The needle is ultra-fine, so it isn’t like a typical shot.) GLP-1s are self-administered either daily or weekly depending on the medication. Your provider can walk you through how this works and can also send you a short video to help. In addition, not only are injectables the medications we prescribe more effective, but they also have fewer and safer side effects than other weight loss medications.

  • The FDA-approved medications that are a part of the One-Year Metabolic Reset are called GLP-1s, and are clinically tested, stimulant-free, and non-habit forming. Side effects are extremely rare, and most individuals who take a GLP-1 do not experience any. For those who do, nausea is the most common, and this typically resolves over the first few weeks of being on the medication. If you do experience any side effects, you’ll be able to reach out to your Medical Team directly for support.

In the most recent clinical trials, less than 5% of people discontinued GLP-1 medications because of side effects. However, in the incredibly rare case that you have side effects that make you ineligible to participate in the program, you’d be offered the choice to stay in the program with a non-GLP-1 medication called metformin (if clinically appropriate) or to partially refund your program based on the amount of time you were able to participate.
